How to build my content so i can make a menu for it?
my content is 3 levels:
1- business segment (Education, Trading, Real Estate, Retail, Industrial, construction)
2- in Trading u can find (Technofire, Al nisr, OGE)
3- Technofire has ( contact us, history etc...)
Go to Content > Section Manager >
Create new Section “Pcsi Business Segment ( Pcsi Business Segment ) ”
New > fill in title
Fill in Section name >
Save >
Go to
Content > Category Manager >
New

Fill in Category Title >
Fill in Category Name >
Save >
Same thing for all the Categories, ( Trading, Real Estate Development, retail, Industrial, Construction)
These mentioned Categories are the first level of the menu and they are the Business segments.
To build the second level which contains the companies in each Business Segment
Create New Categories in the name of companies.
Fill in Category Title with the company name as GAI, then Technofire, Al Nisr etc…
Fill the Category Name with the same thing.
See Section Manager Items

See Category Manager Items.
Go to business segment items as show below

Content Items Manager will open showing you only the items in Pcsi Business Segment
To have Al nsir services page in Al nisr company under Trading Business Segment
As shown here

Click on New
Fill in Title with the page name “Al Nisr services”
Fill Alias as u like it does not effect anything at the moment.
Put the content of the page in Intro Text
Choose Section = Pcsi Business Segment
Choose Category = Al Nisr
Save >
Doing so we finished Creating the content for one page to be in the 3rd level
Now
After installing Extended Menu
Go to Modules > Site Modules>
You can see I named my mod_exmenu to Business Segments and put it in user3 according to my template.
Click on Business Segments

The trick in Extended Menu is to put split menu = 3
And menu count = 1
Now download your template menu as a start from here
http://de.siteof.de/extended-menu-templates.html
Download and unzip the file into the site templates folder.
If you decide to unzip to a subfolder than you need to give that name in the parameters of your extended menu module (e.g. set "Template Name" to "topnav/menu.html").
In addition you need to use the also included stylesheet (menu.css). For this you may edit the index.php of the template, use an import within your template_css.css or just copy and past the contents of the menu.css.
(Joomla/Mambo does not provide a generic way yet)
Note: the menu templates are overwriting the class suffix (and maybe other parameters) of the menu module using the menu.ini.
I went with son of suckerfish horizontal
U can see it running on Pcsi website

Thanks mr nejme Written by umarzuki on 2008-05-12 21:37:54 But could you make another one for 1.5? Because the fornt end is 50 different than you examples.. Thanks in advance and for sharing this valuable knowlwdge. | Written by jhebeler on 2007-09-03 08:05:04 I set up the basics. But I am having trouble with the intermediate links. For example, if someone does not click on a leaf but one of the higher submenus I get the content page to display "You are not authorised to view this resource.". It doesn't matter whether I am logged in or not. I would like it to go to a summary page for that category. What am I doing wrong? Thank you! John Hebeler
